Competitive Events
Tournaments
Every club hosts an annual tournament open to any graded player in New Zealand. You play for yourself and they are played often from Thursday to Sunday depending on the draw, and you will play three to four games over those days.

Winter Interclub
A winter time competition, where you represent your club in teams, playing against other clubs from around Dunedin. Played on Tuesday (lower grades) and Wednesday (high grades), there are two round robins, followed by semis and finals. Then a Dunedin wide presentation night - a great party to discuss the season in a social setting.

District Eliminations
This is a round robin event to find the best club team in each grade division to go to the National Super Champs. This is split into male and female competition with the top 6 to 7 players from each grade (B, C, D, E & F/J) forming a team. The event is a series of matches played over one weekend against other clubs from the Dunedin district, the best of which then goes to to compete against the best from Central Otago. The winning team gains entry to the National Super Champs representing their club and the Otago district.

Interclub Knockout
Between the two rounds for Winter Interclub above, there is a four week individual knockout competition. This is not part of the main Interclub competition, but an individual knockout draw, played for grading points.

Summer Interclub
This is an individual competition played twice; pre-Christmas (5 weeks) and post-Christmas
(6-8 weeks). You play against other similar graded members in Dunedin in a round robin format, playing at the same club each week.

Club Challenge
This is a club vs club competition played near the beginning of the winter season over four weeks. A player from each grade represent the club, totalling 5 players from the club playing each week.
